This is my third term project while studying at NCCA Digital Effects Bournemouth University, This project is aim to produce the "signature effect" shot. Footage was shot by Canon 60D with Walimex(Samyang) 35mm at F 1.4. along side with HDRI images for light matching.

This signature effect shot showing the "Genie Bottle" likes effect. Firstly this project aim is to practice how to work with particles system in Houdini with custom velocity drive by fluid simulation. Overall number of Particles is around 20 million of particles and "Hero" particles in the middle of shot is created by using Pyro FX tools to drive the velocity motion of particles. Totally working hour is around 7 weeks.

In this project Houdini 12.5 is being used as primary 3D software tools, For creating the the dummy geometry of bottle, water element, particles system and Pyro Fx simulation. Pftrack is used to match moving the shot and composite was done in the Foundry Nuke 7. Nuke is used for clean up, CG integration with footage and grading of all elements.
