Gettysburg UI - iOS, iPAD

Gettysburg was the second game for the client and I wanted it to have a logical visual progression from Rebels & Recoats. In R&R, the American and British factions looked very similar in terms or decoration and layout since they were still very much culturally intertwined. It was the colour that denoted whose turn it was.
By the time of Gettysburg, America very much has its own visual language and the two factions were shown to be two sides of the whole.
The layout was designed to split the screen in half, the left and right sides representing the Union and Confederates respectively. The temporary background was supplied by the client.
Late in production it was decided that there would be no over arching campaigns (since Gettysburg was considered a single battle) and the client wished to combine three pages into one; scenario selection, difficulty selection and scenario description.
Like R&R, the awarding of medals during the time period was extremely limited so I had to improvise a bit.
In-Game, the usual top right centric layout has been changed for a balanced one. The Union and Confederate flags are on both sides of the screen, indicating they're two halves of a whole rather than simply enemies.
The flag in colour denotes whos turn it is. The blue and red bars in the centre top indicate the number of troops lost from your total and the catastrophic loss point. It also has a number of buttons for control of your units and various menu functions. These icons are carried over from previous games.
