Madame Laveau was created to explore the use of voodoo doll in a positive way, proving that it can be more than just a dark art. Focusing on Louisiana Voodoo and their famous voodoo queen, Marie Laveau, I handstitched, painted and beaded voodoo dolls and then created a product magazine to showcase the dolls and their intended use. I then created a kit that allowed the user to create their own alter by supplying the necessary ingredients.
