The design of the bench is based on repetition of the same piece, which leads to different forms and patterns. The inspiration comes from mosaic tiles where patterns come together and become a texture. Based on this idea, the layered patterns on a chosen mosaic tile had been decomposed and simplified.
Modularity, as the foundation idea of the bench, allows new combinations and creates different sized groupings. Furthermore, either used as a single module or as a group, in all situations the eventual pattern is perceived as a whole. Getting out of the ordinary references, the usage is left to the users choice and has a design with no boundaries but many possibilities.
The inner construction is steel and the surfaces are plated with Corian.
