The concept behind the Java Love logo was to design a new logo for a Kenyan coffee company that will be aiming their brand at young people who enjoy strong coffee flavours and would be attracted to a bold package design.
I designed a logo using the name of the company, and created steam swirls that make a heart to create a bold logo that reflects the spirit of the company. I applied a type that is bold and free spirited to blend with the swirls.
I created a range of coffee packet labels using the same colour logo whilst changing the background colour for the different blends, making it easier to identify the blend at a glance. I added the tagline “the spirit of Kenya in every cup” to the top of the label as a way of communicating the essence of Java Love.
