A series of built-ins transform this 750 sq ft granny house into a bachelor pad fit for entertaining. In this photograph, adobe seating enlarging the compact living room.

The coffee table is Roger Capron. The swivel chair de Sede. But not everything is mid-century: the pillow is Victorian, and the milking stool's depression era.
Tiles by Thyssen Keramik have been embedded into the newly-applied adobe walls.
A previously empty space has become a nature-infused breakfast nook with the addition of a slated window seat. Arthur Umanoff chairs look even lighter with a coat of white paint. And the curves of the salt and pepper shaker are mirrored in a nearby lamp.
A custom live-edge table fits right in.
An Evelyn Ackerman tapestry hangs above Pete Deeble's mid-century-style walnut bed. The custom pillow depicts a successful bear hunt. The pup is extremely well behaved.
A pendant by Peill & Putzler has been hung from the newly-applied knotty-pine ceiling.

The teak coat hooks were found in Germany. The slated closets match the window seating. After installing a universal remote, all unsightly electronics have been stored away in these pull-out drawers. Cables have been run under the house to hidden speakers.
Jon Watts lounges in his pad. Like all of my interiors, the house is inspired by the client.
