This project was completed in a groundbreaking course during the Spring Quarter of 2010 at the Savannah College of Art and Design. For the first time in the University’s history, select graduate and undergraduate students from four schools were invited to participate in a collaborative project for Benetton, a leader in global fashion retailing. Students from the Schools of Building Arts, Communications, Design and Fashion prepared presentations and design strategies for the Benetton Flagship Store of the future. The work of the class was exhibited at the Pei Ling Chan Gallery in Savannah, Georgia with the opening reception greeting more than 350 visitors. Our store concept, Hyperrality, crossed media and space bringing the Benetton brand and history to life through personal user experiences.
