Walk Good Caribbean, operating in Jamaica, The Bahamas and The Cayman Islands and founded by André Steiner and Vanessa Taylor, is the official distributor of Havaianas®—a fashionable and popular Brazilian brand of flip flops—in the Caribbean. I was working as a freelancer in 2010, employed part-time as a sales associate at their retail store in the Cayman Islands, when the store owner expressed interest in my services. After putting together in-store signage, promotional copywriting, fliers and window displays for their business, the founders, completely satisfied with my work, decided to take me on as head of their marketing department.

Since then, I’ve provided myriad creative services for them, including designing, launching and monitoring email campaigns thorugh MailChimp, social media marketing through Facebook, magazine ads, business cards, catalogues—even developing new brand standards for the business, covering everything from logo usage, colours and typography, all the way down to the employee apparel.
