One of Shakespeare’s final plays, The Winter’s Tale has been labeled many things: a romance, a “Problem Play,” or as we like to call it, a Greek Tragedy with a happy ending. But at its core, this play is about things we witness every day as 21st Century Americans: pride, jealousy, penance and forgiveness. The heart of The Winter’s Tale is Leontes’ journey from blind rage to ultimate redemption.
