Kidnimble is a site/service that helps parents and families find great afterschool and camping programs for their children. Once their back-end database was functional, they needed to refresh the front-end and branding of their online presence.

The goal was to create something that was visually compelling and appealing to families and kids, while remaining simple and functional - displaying clear results and integrating a social networking component for parents. What made this project particularly appealing is that it gave me a chance to use some illustration skills I rarely get a chance to use.

Several designs were delivered in the order below. In the end, the client used elements from the last two concepts in their final implementation.
I began by submitting two distinctly different concepts. Above was concept 1.

This was concept 2, with heavier illustration and a different take on the logo.

This was a response to the client's desire to include more illustration and change the header spacing.

This last concept was, in some ways, a return to the first - but with a much flatter design.
