We were asked by the lovely Avye Leventis to create a piece as a private commission, for her wedding to fiancé Adam at the Orangerie in Holland Park, London. The couple had a strong tie to the image of a Scarlet Ibis perched in a branch, and we therefore decided to recreate the image in 3D, by building a two Ibises perched on a faceted white paper tree. We made patterned red and gold paper flowers to complement the scene, which were also used in Avye's wedding bouquet.
