ISTD - Publication Design

Brief_
Gather a complete knowledge about one single thing in the form of a publication. Consider the relationship between text and image, layout, grid use, colour, hierarchy of information and typographic treatment.

Target Market_
The project targets young adults aged 20-30 years, who are curious to understand themselves and the world around them. They are people who are in a stage of their life where they are making important decisions concerning their career and life partners that could influence the rest of their lives. The aim of this book is to showcase important information in an interesting way to reach this specific target group.

Concept_
Deconstruct personality types. The idea is to display four personality types by using different fonts and type design to communicating the characteristics of each.

Execution_
The publication is a combination of different sized formats bound together to form the final book. Each personality-type has a different format that communicates something about that particular personality. I used a four-column grid throughout the whole publication to give uniformity to the layout. The publication was digitally printed on Cyclus Offset and the cover Knights Wire Pristine board. The cover was printed and embossed to create an elegant print finish.  Posters illustrating the temperament of each personality type extend the project.
