    Site:                                                                       Bucharest, Romania

This school project sets out to create a collective housing area, made out of multiple apartment buildings in Bucharest, Romania.
Bucharest is a city known for it's heterogeneous aspect, and that is the case with this site, which is surrounded by low, individual houses to the West and very tall, apartment buildings to the North and East.
The proposal is a playful one, that aims at bringing all the different spaces together by creating a buffer between the various heights. This way, by having unique volumes, the blind walls East of the site are covered and the height difference is no longer as upsetting.
The same playfulness mentioned before can also be found between built and free spaces, different courtyards being created, giving the occupants a feeling of comfort and intimacy, that is valuable in a city environment.
The buildings' facades are covered with metal and glass, elements that give a industrial and modern vibe that is balanced by the use of green roofs.
