This book focuses on the craft of typesetting and the fusion of type and image. Each spread contains an excerpt of a letter from Vincent Van Gogh to one of his relatives — mainly his brother, Theo — and a combination of image and hand-rendered typography that illustrate a quote from the letter. The illustrations were also used to create a set of postcards inspired by this correspondence and intended for others to share their stories as well.
