This is a visual presentation we were requested to craft as we entered our Master class at Domus Academy. I personally hold great affection for this little presentation, and just like writing I found that when you are asked and required to put together words or visuals that represent you or which tell your story it could be and should be a pleasurable, fun and sometime eye opening exercise in introspection.

Just say Ahmad Ramzi and I am hooked. My fear of numbers has decreased significantly ever since I ventured into business modeling and design but I wouldn't say its my cup of tea (yet).

Beirut will always be a well of love and an ocean of heartbreak and will always be home.

My career history from 2010 till 2014 actually in a some what condensed but accurate form.

 

What you realise after loving design passionately. As designers we are far more capable and potent than the market allows us to be, alas if you let labels define you this wil always be the case.

And then after some whirlpools of existential questioning and searching high and low for a path that speaks to my calling ....

 

Lempicka and Helmi el touni are a few of my favourite artists, below is a drawing I molded after Touni and a lempicka collage. Which I find somewhat expressive of my distress at the time.

Eventually it was about looking at what I love the most and what I fear the most.

The answer was pretty simple and it is still something I live by a year and more after I made this presentation. In every action I make I aspire to transform the dreamer in me into a maker.
