In responding to his Excellency, President Jacob Zuma’s clarion call to beautify our country for International Mandela Day, 18 July, the Department of Environmental Affairs urges all South Africans to use their 67 minutes to clean up Mzansi. 
 
Reduce, Re-use, Recycle.
Reduce the amount of waste you produce by composting certain food and plant materials and buy products with the least packaging.
 
Re-use grocery bags, margarine containers, shoe boxes and use writing paper on both sides.
Recycle the things you buy and buy products that contain recycled material.
 
Clean up your neighbourhood and beautify South Africa. Use the hashtag #CleanupSA to let us know how you have cleaned up South Africa.
 
Take action. Inspire change. Make every day a Mandela Day.

The Department of Environmental Affairs had a campaign to raise awareness In responding to his Excellency, President Jacob Zuma’s clarion call to beautify our country for International Mandela Day, 18 July, the Department of Environmental Affairs urges all South Africans to use their 67 minutes to clean up Mzansi. 
The brief was to design a 195 x 300 News paper advert in 18/07/2014 which would go in the Sowetan daily news paper.
