DOT staged an exclusive selection of Theatre Uncut’s short plays with the title of “Makas Oyunları” in 2013/14 season in Istanbul.

Theatre Uncut has been initiated with a simple idea by the project directors Emma Callander and Hannah Price in 2010 in Britain. Directors asked prominent playwrights to write short plays that will theatrically respond to today's political situation. In the first three years, the project involved playwrights from England, Scotland, USA, Argentina, Spain, Greece, Syria, Iceland and Egypt. The plays were staged in 17 countries. The project was rewarded with the prestigious Fringe First, Herald Angel and Scotsman Spirit awards in 2012 Edinburgh Festival.
