The Moscow Kremlin Museums are the centre of national heritage situated in the heart

of Moscow. The museums include 8 buildings — churches and chambers— that display

a wide range of collections, including state regalia, diplomatic gifts, jewelry and other historically valuable exhibits.

The identity for souvenir shops includes packaging design and a few merchandize items.

The concept is based on two polar images of the Moscow Kremlin. The place is associated with solemnity and festivity as it gathers a great amount of tourists and moscovites daily.
On the other hand, the Kremlin has a mysterious and unexplored side that is closely connected
to its history. Visuals are split into two parts; each of them is presenting either the bright
and energetic atmosphere of the Kremlin or is hidden in a shadow.

Boxes

All packages have the same structure: architectural pictograms decorate the package from the outside while pictograms of regalia are placed inside boxes and bags in a form of a pattern.

Paper and plastic bags

Each of the buildings is presented separately on a bag. There are 8 variants for the bag, according to the number of museums. The special grid created for all formats is used on sides of the bags and the boxes.

The border of each bag contains the name of the presented building

in 9 international languages.

Wrapping paper

The are two types of wrapping paper: the first one is bright and should be put around the boxes if they contain a present. The second one is neutral and should put around fragile objects inside the bags or the boxes.

The system can possibly be applied to outdoor printed media. The entrance of the gift shop should follow the same style. The design may be extended to promotional posters and tickets.
