I PUT ON MY GREENTHUMBS FOR A YEAR AND WHAT A BLAST!
Afmine had been providing natural gypsum (a mineral essential to healthy plant growth) to the agricultural market for 14 years, and wanted to start selling bagged fertiliser blends to the local market. I was tasked to form a creative team to rebrand the entire company and provide it with strategic direction for its future plans. Because the company owner prided himself on following green practices, I wanted his products to reflect that mindset. After some digging around, I designed the first bio-degrable packaging for fertiliser made from hemp. To the best of my knowledge, Afmine is still the only company IN THE WORLD to package its products in a way that is truely 100% earth-friendly. The successfull implementation of the rebranding and launch allowed Afmine to now have its roots firmly set in the Western Cape.
