With influences ranging from the Constructivists to Abstract Impressionists, Slobodan Miljevic’s stunning mixed media works have a vast range of artistic invention. His paintings are mighty and forceful, displaying an appreciation for the interaction
between line and composition, texture and color. Miljevic combines oil and acrylic paints with sand or digital prints on canvas to achieve an array of painterly effects, from ghostly auras of color to graphic, nearly architectural line work. He creates this dynamic
imagery with both machine and brush juxtaposing the human hand with the mechanical, and often utilizing multiple panels to allow the composition to extend and virtually reach outside of its borders. Slobodan Miljevic a self-taught artist hailing from
Serbia has participated in many group and solo exhibitions during his career. He has been interested in the arts his entire life, acquiring an intellectual conception of contemporary art. “Guided by principles of abstract art I am trying to create balance between
diversities and dimensions,” he states. Miljevic lives and works in Novi Sad, Serbia.
