EF English First, a business that recruits people to teach English in China, Indonesia and Russia, wanted an image to show potential employees what their career path options are.
The end artwork would be used for a booth banner at recruitment events and so need to be informative and eye-catching.
The client provided the career path titles (which were listed in order of importance) and wanted the colour scheme in keeping with the businesses current branding. The design also needed to make it clear that recruits need to go from being a Teacher to a Senior Teacher before the array of carrer options become available.
Initial Concept - I wanted to create movement and energy in the artwork with a clear hierarchy to the career path & options. The client felt that the design was a little confusing and wanted the various career paths breaking up into certain departments.
Second submission - I rearranged the carrer path options and grouped departments under headings and in colour brackets to make the information easier to read. The client felt that the design was "really innovative and interesting " but unfortunately "not quite the vision we had for this project". I felt that this had been great practice in presenting basic information in a fun, eye-catching and unique way.
