This bakery was to be strengthened and have an extension added to the rear, while it was still in operation, my role in this project was to scheme up & design a strengthening scheme that allowed the bakery to continue producing bread non-stop. The scheme involved removing the roofing iron and installing a plywood diaphragm, installing new connections from the diaphragm to the walls etc., installing new lateral steel brackets and block walls. The rear extension was a steel portal frame with tilt panels designed by another Engineer but site supervised (PS4) by me .
