Bippolo Seed (storybook illustration)

In Editorial class we were asked to make storybook illustrations for Dr. Seuss' story The Bippolo Seed. There were specific instructions, though, like:
1. We were not allowed to move any copy content in the book or add any form of text. (so apologies to the typos in the work)
2. Plan your illustration around the body texts and make 3 illustration splash pages
    a. one (1) for the cover / back cover
    b. two (2) splash spreads of your choice.
3. The demographic was for 7-10 yr. old children.
The challenge was to do the illustrations in a very limited amount of time.

I made the characters, the cat and McKluck the duck, look like a bowling ball and bowling pin (respectively) to show who dominated the other in the book. The duck looks like the flighty, gullible yellow character that he is and the cat is greedy and a bit evil in green.
