In order to prepare myself for going out into the Graphic Designindustry, my instructor had our class brand ourselves. With a brand being thevisual representation of myself a lot of thought went into who I am and how Iwant to be represented. I kept coming back to this concept of being aGentleman. I then had to figure out what is iconic with gentlemen and yet notoverplayed. I decided on the monocle mainly because what I witnessed wasmonocles with a mustache or a top hat, and I felt the monocle, as a standaloneobject would be iconic and not overplayed. I also liked the idea that as agraphic designer my work is seen, and I felt the monocle tied into this aspect.
