Space Fish - Prototype

Final tile based assets for the game prototype.
Here was one of the concepts for the mobile game prototype. The client (Ninja Kiwi) loved the design, but when creating the assets into a tile based format the faces of the moutains were scrapped. This feedback came from the client as they advised that users may have seen the mountains as interacable characters or a threat to the player, and can distract them from the playable and non-playable characters on screen.
Once the game mechanics were finalized, the team wanted to test out the gameplay and showcase the game to the client by creating a paper prototype.
 
I created the three planets as level select button for the game as shown.
During concept development I started to brainstorm ideas of planet levels for the game. I came up with an Ice, forest, rock, and gas planet.

The designer and the producer loved the ideas and wanted to work on the Ice planet to begin with for the first level.
