A woman beating a ‘talking-drum’- the Gan-gan. This musical instrument is indigenous to the Yorubas of West-Africa. She dons an elaborately designed halter neck dress inspired by the colourful Ankara fabric, which many African women wear. She has a big lovely head-tie around her head and we have a glimpse of her neatly woven hair underneath it.
