My first event with Star Catering was a beautiful and very detailed wedding at the Woodlawn Plantation in Alexandria, VA. I worked from 3-9pm and I couldn't have asked for a more beautifully clear day. Although it was incredibly hot until the sun went down, the lighting was fantastic everywhere! The ceremony was on the lawn overlooking the woods and the potomac, the cocktail hour was in a beautiful courtyard, there were games in the front, and then the reception was on the side. It was strange at first remembering that I wasn't there for typical wedding photos, more for commercial type images for the catering company, but then I got really comfortable and I think that my job was a bit easier than the Wedding photographer's, who was running around like crazy to make sure she didn't miss a single moment all day. I realized I could stay more in the background and get pictures of the little details rather than have to stay glued to the bride & groom. It was so beautiful and I got so many amazing images. Here are just a few of my favorites, I'm printing over a hundred for an album for Star Catering, and I believe a few are even going on the Woodlawn website.
