During the Summer of 2010 I was hired by the Office of Student Life at Ball State University to redesign the Ball State Pride Guide. It is a campus publication that lists over 300 student activities and organizations on campus and includes contact information. This was my very first major design job as a student and I built the entire document from scratch. I began by contacting all of the organizations, asking for pictures and logos that they wanted to include. For those that were unable to submit an image, I either took my own pictures or created vector based clip art for the organizations. I used InDesign to design the 37 spreads (72 pages), Photoshop to edit the images, and Illustrator to create the vector art. I was also in charge of the printing aspect and met with the in-house printer to complete the job. 10,000 copies were printed and distributed to the campus. This job was a great learning experience and I greatly appreciated the opportunity. Included are the first few spreads, pictures of the actual printed book will be coming soon.
