5v5 Robot Soccer (Old Fleet With Upgrades)
The second year of our team we built and designed this fleet in one year to compete in the 2008 RoboCup held in Suzhou, China. A big focus was put on make the robots simple and cheap. As we did not yet have access to a 3-axis HAAS VF2 or a water jet in our shop. Following production of the 2011 fleet we decided to extend the life of the 2008 fleet and improve some reliability issues back backporting some of the design improvements present in the new fleet. Mechanically this meant upgrading the dribbler, omni wheels, shells, and tweaking some integration related aspects of the top plate.
