When you have a collection of something you can start thinking why you collect those things. In this case, I've a collection of postcards. I collect them in stores, coffes, museums, galeries, ... But why I have this ones? Maybe they have something that I like, the colour, the type, the picture, the illustration, the kind of paper... I don't think about it when I got one, I just take it home.
And then i have a collection of postcards at home, in a box and some on my wall. I can do something with them instead of having them in a box.
This was the proposal of Tony Credland in her workshop at ESAD. Communicate something with our collection of stuff. Organize them and make a graphic work.
I made a collection of 20 postcards to tell stories with words or images. I picked details from my postcards to make new postcards with some king of relation between them. You just need to have some imagination to tell a storie.
