AEAS was a solo university project where I was tasked to create an interactive design prototype for a sanctuary website. I created all designs using Adobe Illustrator and created the interactive UI through a combination of Justinmind and Adobe Animate (Flash). I also designed this logo for the project.
This is the home page I designed for the project. I was tasked with showcasing as many interactive elements for the prototype website as possible. The entire design included a main toolbar, links to other pages and a footer.
Same home page with a showcase of the interactive toolbar which can be seen at the top underneath 'Visit the Sanctuary'. I placed a lot of focus on this toolbar which would be the easiest and most consistent form of navigation throughout the project. This toolbar could be accessed from any page.
'Visit the Sanctuary' page. Shows how information is presented on an informative page. All icons and designs were created by myself including the icons under 'Learn more about the sanctuary'. I wanted to provide as much relevant interaction throughout prototype as I could to provide relevant options to website users, which is why I included these links on this screen. Similar links can be found throughout the project.
'Endangered Animals' screen. I enjoyed creating the icons for this section. Each 'Learn more' button was designed to take you to the respective animal screen (e.g. 'Learn more' under the Amur Leopard icon would take you to the 'Amur Leopard' screen. This screen also showcases the interactive toolbar being used which involved appropriately spacing animal text for easy readability.
A showcase of an animal screen. The information/stats tab with information about the animal would be consistent with all animal screens. The first 3 icons ('Population', 'Natural Habitat' and 'Countries') would change to reflect the animal's information (e.g. an elephant icon could be expected under the 'Population' stat). These icons were also created by myself. The 'Check out our enclosure' button would take you to a map showing where all the animals could be found in the sanctuary.
