The idea for this project was to design theatre posters for one of JCCC's three Fall '24 productions, with the chance of having our design chosen and used for the show. Provided with three keywords from the directors to base our moodboards and designs on, we got to work on our initial 11x17 posters. From the beginning, I had decided to do something photographic, so after reading the script for my chosen show, The Metal Children, I put together the idea of using imagery and symbolism from the show to create something that was eye-catching and would stand out from other past poster designs. After assembling our 11x17 posters, we then were tasked with creating various assets for print and digital at varying sizes that still carry all the relevant informations with our designs.
