For this project I aimed to create a composite image from a four word prompt using Photoshop. The prompt was, desert, birds, sun, and jewelry. I sourced four images to fulfill each aspect of the prompt. From there, I combined the images by masking in Photoshop to create a satisfying composition taking into account perspective and focus. I was inspired by traditional surrealist art while creating the composition and flow of my piece. I harmonized the four aspects of the composition through various uses of, shading, highlighting, and color matching to anchor the light source throughout the whole piece. Finally, I used the mixer brush tool to turn the composition into a digital painting, further exploring the feeling of surrealism within the artwork. Overall I hoped to convey a story like image connecting the birds to the lost feather necklace to create a finished photoshop composite image.
