Based on the true events of Seppala and Togo in the Great Race of Mercy, this graphic novel captures the adventure, trust, and love for man’s best friend of this treacherous story. The blue and purple color scheme of the novel portrays the frost-bit environment that the characters had to endure. These colors, along with the snowy and icy textures throughout the novel, put the reader in the main character’s shoes. Despite the lack of dialog, this novel is told clearly through action and character expression.
