Rebranding Aston University

Aston University realised its purpose and essence were not coming through in communications, as it lacked a central identity. Students and faculty members couldn’t articulate the uniqueness of the University.
A visual asset of three rectangles – christened the Aston University Pillars – these represent the students, beneficiaries and their impacts.
The Pillars can be utilised flexibly and functionally across a variety of applications.
The Pillars lend themselves to digital, motion and print applications.
Playing a key role in art direction — refreshing photography guidelines revamped how Aston University students and faculty members appear, focusing on the individual and highlighting their spirit and personality. This distinct editorial style of photography captures Aston University’s and her people’s spirit and innovation that come out to play on their incredible Birmingham campus.
