Zihuatanejo was in the past well known for its pirate activity, burying treasures along its beautiful beaches. Like its name suggests, the brand’s personality and graphic identity were also developed based on this narrative, combining historical elements of the region with modern pop culture, making it easily identifiable by anyone – this is a key aspect given that the store will constantly expect people from all over the world.
 

We treat this space as one where valued objects can be found, coming from different corners of the globe – just like a treasure would have done. Therefore, a graphic language was conceived around treasure hunts and pirate maps, like the X that marks the spot, using a neutral colour palette in order to highlight the individual objects contained within the store.
