The "Taking a Stand" project was a poster promoting a new documentary based on the history of Civil Rights in Milwaukee, and was directed towards young adults living in Milwaukee. The intent behind the design was to depict the struggle the Milwaukee movement went through, while making it easy for the viewer to read the informational text. This was achieved with using the beginning of the title as a focal point, and letting it flow down with the reversed half of the "A" to the subtitle, and ending with the remaining text.
