The third Hour. In Biblical texts, the third hour indicates that important events are taking place. In the last 1000 years, humans have cut from this planet 2/3 of the trees, in the last 50 years, 2/3 of the #vertebrate population, in the last 40, 2/3 of the global insect population. We are at the third Hour, we are faced with the biggest challenge of our times.
I've created 3 linocut motifs inspired by #nature to represent this #challenge. The rings of a tree, the shell of a #beetle and the shell of the extinct Galapagos Ginta Tortoise.

Art is a way to express and share important values and messages. The polls for the next elections all indicate a strong win for parties who have notoriously denied climate change and opposes any policy aimed at protecting our planet. I hope we can still open our eyes to what is happening and have the courage to take the necessary decisions and radical changes necessary for protecting our mother earth and combat climate change.
