Tembusu College
Branding

Client
Tembusu College is amongst the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, offering students a tailored academic program together with residential college living. It's crest, encompassing the sillhouette of a young student reading under the Tembusu tree against the backdrop of a globe, embodies the college's spirit of diversity, tenacity, and its celebration of global-citizenry. Singapore's Ambassador-at-large, Professor Tommy Koh, is the Rector of the college.

Project Goals
Originally offering only a 2-year program, Tembusu College approached us to design a suite of materials in lieu of its extended program, christened the 'Third-Year Experience', or TYE. The focus was 'change'.

Creative Solution
As most of Tembusu's residents and staff refer to the program as the 'TYE' in shortform, we decided to create a wordmark around these three letters. The flowy, playful logotype is a reminder of the free-form nature of the Third-Year Experience, in which students are encouraged to take ownership of their own projects and explore their passions. We imagined a suite of collaterals centred around the idea of possibilities and play.
