This Project is called Growth Zone: The execution
The objective of this assignment was to create a project using mediums that students were not comfortable using, in this case I've decided to create a still-life painting of some of my house hold items lying around.
These are the sketches I made prior to painting. I wanted the focus on a candelabrum with bleeding candles, and a bouquet that I had from a previous event with my significant other, and a black skull that is also a candle.
This was the finalized sketch for the canvas, and I went into detail as to what colors Im going to use, and the adjustments I was going to make, such as resizing the props, and coloring the background dark navy blue.
These were the items that were used; brushes, acrylic paint (red, black, white, blue, and yellow), a ruler, and the 3 props that were mentioned.
This was the final product of my project being used hung up on my wall next to another set of dried flowers. The project was really exciting, and surprisingly did not take long to make (2 1/2 hours).
