Narrative:   All my life I've seen men take over space like it belongs to them, like they were born with the power of unapologetic ownership. Outside, I see only men, with their unabashed staring, eyes following me everywhere. I refuse to shrink under their gaze anymore. Inside, I see uncles manspreading, always talking the loudest to ensure it is only their voice which can be heard. I've always found that taking up space feels complicated and difficult even though I wasn't raised in a home which taught me to make myself small. And as I've grown older, I've realised that it doesn't really get easier- creating space for yourself and sharing your voice, but I will try everyday anyway.
