St Mary's Parish Church When I was looking for the internal images, I noticed that the front doors were locked shut with no entry to the church. On each of the buttresses had the angel so beautifully carved into the stone work.

The set of images depict the entry walkway into the church that is now no longer possible, you pass the angel, travel along the buttresses wall and you have the door in-front of you. It depicts the carefully constructed stone work church side wall that is now showing its age with the algae making a start in the fishers and gaps of the stone work.

This produced a feeling of age, craftsmanship and a raw continual monochromatical colouring and texture throughout the series of images. Guiding the viewer from the Buttress to the door and enticing them to enter the church. Singularly the images are just a church wall that do not tell a story. Regretfully I had to take these images very quickly as the weather changed so quickly from a lovely dry cloudy place to stair rod rain drops.
