A brief project outline:
This animated logo was the final item to be produced but the first to play. We wanted something which would appear more dynamic than just a fade in or cut.
I love this shot due to the texture of the sand. We wantedto establish the location as a serene idyllic location so that the power of theauction was emphasized.
We used a gradient blur to simulate a small depth of field. It's not the most believable of simulations; but in a sequence where your eyesjump around it does the job.
We built a custom mask for this transition; using a particlegenerator within After Effects. We wanted to have an abrupt change from thestylised imagery from the introduction into a more standard format.

He was a great auctioneer to film. He used the entire space as well as pulling a few twirls. These movements made the video more energetic and exciting. I used these movements of his to pull some erratic camera stunts including crash zooms and odd tilts.
A successful auction, a successful production.
All footage was captured by us and all editing was done in our Adobe CS4 editing suite.

Music produced with SmartSound Sonicfire Pro.
