🇸🇬 Background

Hinomi, a Singapore-based startup established in 2021, specializes in ergonomic products, particularly chairs and standing desks. As a brand that has rapidly gained recognition for its commitment to comfort and quality, Hinomi aims to expand its footprint globally. The project involves revamping the online e-commerce store to ensure a consistent and engaging shopping experience across six key markets: the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, European countries, Japan, and Singapore.

🎯 Objective

The primary goal of this project is to unify the website structure and branding for Hinomi's online e-commerce stores. It also involves revamping the stores to ensure a consistent and engaging shopping experience across six key markets: the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, European countries, Japan, and Singapore, while enhancing the UI/UX to improve customer experience and engagement.

🤞 Challenges

The project faces significant challenges, including communication barriers with the Hangzhou-based e-commerce team and the intricacies of multitasking, which complicates time management. Additionally, technical constraints from the Pagefly and Shopify platforms. Moreover, as the revamp is an ongoing endeavor, the unpredictable nature of e-commerce demands stringent time management to adapt to unforeseen changes and maintain project momentum.

Establishing a consistent design system for our online store posed another challenge. After months of exploring the right tools and publishing more pages, I have begun to solidify the foundation of the design system. Though still evolving towards its final form, I am confidently on the right track to defining a cohesive and dynamic visual language for the stores.

Navigating the creative challenge of establishing a brand tone without existing branding or ample lifestyle images, I leverage AI to generate compelling visuals. This innovative approach allows us to showcase our ergonomic products in detailed, imagined settings, providing a unique and engaging experience for our audience.
