The project deals with collisions between eras and between materials.Through process of casting brass into tree trunks, we have created a single piece, an object in which each material carries out its old fashioned function, while together they create a new experience.
casting process, brass is casted through the tree trunk into a pre made send mold creating legs
cooling process, the brass will shrink on the wood, which will create a geometric lock between the brass legs and the wood seat
