OFM Stereotypes

We created a set of posters for OFM that were used by their advertising buying department during a roadshow
as well as collateral that was sent to advertising and media companies to encourage them to get their clients
to advertise on the radio station.

The assumption is that OFM is a staid Afrikaans radio station limited to an audience of old-fashioned famers in a small province of South Africa. In order to disprove this, we drew on ridiculous old-school Afrikaans stereotypes and myths. We then visualised these stereotypes in type design and illustration and concluded with a sarcastic statement to highlight that the assumption about the target market of the station is also ridiculous: "and OFM only reaches old white farmers in the Free State".
