Rebranding Contrasto

Two souls, one big contrast

Starting point
An Italian restaurant called "Contrasto" is located in Guastalla, Reggio Emilia:
in a classic location like Palazzo Ducale, but with interiors and pop atmosphere inspired by Seletti.

Objective
Create a language capable of bringing these two apparently distant worlds together.

Idea
A brand identity born from the balance between elegant and pop style,
in order to make "Contrasto" recognizable in all its forms.

We didn't just communicate the brand identity, we also create something that breaks all the rules

This is a new language in which we combined two typeface: Inter (head font) and Garamond (body font).
The first one is altered and inclined to identify the pop soul; while the second one is an elegant serif font
referring to timeless classic, as well as Palazzo Ducale does.

The philosophy of Contrasto is never been so clear: a perfect marriage between strict classical rules and fluid pop movement. To make the contrast more evident we chose an elegant black and gold color palette on handcrafted papers and finishing.
