TRIPLEX MODEL SHOE
I was assigned to make an exact replica triplex model of a shoe of my choice using white triplex board. On this project, I will be taking you through the process I went through to getting the job done.
Activity 1: Full Model Shoe
I used tape to measure the exact size of the shoe by pasting it on to the shoe and tracing with a maker on where I wanted to cut a specific part for my model shoe, I then paste the tape on a separate box and cut out my parts of the shoe to use for tracing on to triplex board for my final working parts.
I had difficulty making the front of the shoe because I had to bend the triplex and triplex does not bend easy. I failed several times making the front of the shoe.
I used clear glue to put the shoe part together. The problem I had is that the glue needs to be held on for too long before it
Activity 2: Section View/ Half shoe
In this submission , I was required to make a half shoe of my reference shoe of my choice using triplex board. Here is the outcome of the work.
Activity 3: Tooling Box
For the tooling box submission. I had make make a tooling box that show the outside of the shoe from the inside. The whole thing was supposed to like a half shoe attached to a box.
