This is one of the projects in my ART 111: Design & Composition class, which is called Strip Study phase 1b. We were told to do it by hands by cutting acrylic gradient painted bristol paper in order and gluing them on a mat board. The given dimension is 7"x7" mat board, and it has to be created by the combination of three 2"x6" strips in different colors (1 strip in primary color, 1 strip in complementary color, and 1 strip in tertiary color).
Horizontal V cut and horizontal shifting.
Horizontal curb cut and vertical shifting.
These are my original sketches.
