In the tender years of my childhood, during the cherished holiday celebrating the birth of our beloved God, I would immerse myself in drawing His divine form. Yet, as the years flowed on, education and work commitments conspired to steal away my time and artistic pursuits. Last year, on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, I rekindled my artistic passion and put pencil to paper once more, after what felt like an eternity.

But this year was different; an unexpected surge of devotion prompted me to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with all my heart, even as time raced against me. Despite a holiday, I found myself journeying from Mumbai to Pune by train for work. In the train’s confined quarters and long after disembarking, I devoted the entire night to drawing Ganapati. I opened the Adobe Fresco app on my mini iPhone and drew this Ganpati using a simple stylus.. When the creation was complete, I drifted into sleep, a deep sense of happiness and contentment filling my heart.

A cherished memory resurfaced - my parents’ tales of my very first drawing at the tender age of two and a half, an image of Ganpati Himself.

Dear Ganesha, the bestower of countless talents, has filled the gaps within me. Without His blessings, I would be incomplete and unable to carry out the work I do today. I am humbled by the magnitude of God’s grace, which makes every endeavor I undertake seem more miraculous than I could ever envision.

At His divine feet, I offer my prayers, wishing that the grace and blessings of Vighnaharta be showered upon all.

GanpiBappa Morya! 🙏🌟
